We are extremely proud and excited to announce that Chris Colfer, the actor behind one of the coolest characters on Glee, Kurt Hummel, has been nominated for an Emmy Award for the first time, on his first TV show.
This is an honor because a gay character's not always the pick of critics on Primetime TV, but this is changing totally with the introduction of characters like Kurt (who's competing against two actors who ALSO play gay characters in the same show, 'Modern Family'), who's not only there to make us laugh our asses of (he's nominated for this category after all) but also had to cry, get angry, fall in love, and do as many things as a great actor has to do to prove his worth.
Even if Colfer doesn't win, we believe he totally deserves to be nominated and couldn't be happier about this.
Here's the list of the actors nominated to compete for Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series
