Nicollette Sheridan Sues Desperate Housewives Creator and ABC Responds

Former Desperate Housewives Star, Nicollette Sheridan, who played Edie Britt during the first 5 seasons of the show and got killed last year, has sued Series Creator Marc Cherry claiming he hit her in her face and fired her when she complaint, TMZ has learned.

On September 24, 2008, when Season 5 kicked off, Sheridan complaint about something on the script which according to her, drove Cherry mad and he "took her aside and forcefully hit her with his hand across her face and head."


After the incident however, Nicollette claims Cherry went to her trailer to "beg for forgiveness".

We wonder, how come does she announce this almost 2 years later?

The amount of money she demands is up to $20 million claiming assault and battery, gender violence and wrongful termination.

According to TMZ Nicollette Sheridan has made serious revelations regarding series creator Marc Cherry and his abusive behaviour toward the cast and crew of the show, including Female Lead Teri Hatcher who went above his head and talked to ABC executives directly, to what Marc Cherry apparently said "I hope Teri Hatcher gets hit by a car and dies,"

In response to all these serious acusations that could completely shatter the reputation and affect in any way (either positive or negative) the ratings of the show, ABC has released an official statement.

The channel has said to The Insider: "While we have yet to see the actual complaint, we investigated similar claims made by Ms. Sheridan last year and found them to be without merit."
